OPIS:
Przyszłość. Seria gwałtownych przypływów energii pochodzących z Neptuna zaczyna
zagrażać całemu Układowi Słonecznemu. Amerykanie dochodzą do wniosku, że związek z
tym może mieć załoga zaginionego przed kilkunastoma laty w tamtej okolicy Projektu Lima,
którym dowodził uznany za zmarłego Clifford McBride (Tommy Lee Jones), najbardziej
zasłużony współczesny astronauta. Dowództwo prosi jego syna Roya (Brad Pitt), który
również zajmuje się badaniem kosmosu, żeby wysłał z Marsa wiadomość do ojca. Żywi
nadzieję, że ze względu na bliskie relacje między mężczyznami niebezpieczeństwo grożące
Ziemi może zostać zażegnane. Nie wszystko idzie jednak zgodnie z planem.
