Shizuku Kanzaki is the son of world-renowned wine critic Yutaka Kanzaki, but due to being estranged from his father he currently works as a junior employee in a Japanese beer company. His father dies, and leaves him a challenge: he must correctly identify, and describe in the manner of his late father, thirteen wines - the first twelve known as the "Twelve Apostles" and the thirteenth known as the "Drops of God".
