James e Kristen si fermano per la notte nella casa disabitata dei genitori di lui dopo essere stati a un matrimonio. Tra i due la tensione è palpabile: lui le ha proposto di sposarla e lei ha rinviato la decisione rifiutando l’anello che lui le offriva.
