NYPD cop John McClane goes on a Christmas vacation to visit his wife Holly in Los Angeles where she works for the Nakatomi Corporation. While they are at the Nakatomi headquarters for a Christmas party, a group of bank robbers led by Hans Gruber take control of the building and hold everyone hostage, with the exception of John, while they plan to perform a lucrative heist. Unable to escape and with no immediate police response, John is forced to take matters into his own hands.

Retail AMZN HDR10+ layer injected by EPS after confirming that it matched the HDR grade of the UHD Blu-ray. 5.1 mix from UHD chosen as it has the correct effects channel, best overall mix, and appears to be the least filtered. UHD stereo audio confirmed by EPS to be original theatrical 35mm Dolby Stereo mix. English subs from UHD OCR'd and included. Blu-ray subs tonemapped using subtitle tonemap. All releases had an excessive 55 chapters which were cut down to 13 and named with most appropriate chapter names from NTSC DVD.
