Plot Summary:

Set in the fictional country of Phoenicia in 1950, The Phoenician Scheme follows Zsa-zsa Korda (Benicio del Toro), one of Europe’s wealthiest men, who names his estranged daughter, Sister Liesl (Mia Threapleton), a nun-in-training, as his heir. Together with her tutor, Bjorn Lund (Michael Cera), they embark on a high-stakes venture to protect the family business amidst threats from rival tycoons and terrorists. Blending espionage elements with Anderson’s signature whimsical style, the film explores themes of family, legacy, and the complexities of power.
