00 Watchmen - Ultimate Cut 2009.

The "Ultimate Cut" brings the film from its theatrical 162 minutes, to a whopping

215 minutes. Scenes include the expanded action sequences and additional exposition

from the director's cut, even more exposition segments, and additionally

interweaves the animated Black Freighter short into the story to mimic its role as

the story within the story in the graphic novel.



Watchmen is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part

of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" which charts the USA's

tension with the Soviet Union is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When

one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed up but no less determined

masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all

past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting

legion - a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers

Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their

shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch

over humanity, but who is watching the Watchmen?"

Based on the celebrated graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, the exciting

and dark Watchmen takes place in Tulsa, Okla, 34 years after the original story.

After a white supremacist attack on the local police department, which leaves only

two surviving cops on the beat, laws are passed that allow the cops to hide their

identities behind masks. One of these cops, Angela Abar, adopts the identity of

Sister Night and fights racists while dealing with the decades-long legacy of the

vigilantes.

Following a late-night visit from the senator, FBI agent Laurie Blake heads to

Tulsa to take over the recent murder investigation. The lord of the manor receives

a harshly worded letter and responds accordingly.



04 Watchmen - If You Don't Like My Story.

Reclusive trillionaire Lady Trieu finally enters the stage with a mysterious offer

With Laurie getting closer to the truth of her cover up, Angela enlists Looking

Glass for help. The Lord trains two new servants.



05 Watchmen - Little Fear Of Lightning.

The origin story of Looking Glass is revealed, as is the truth behind the greatest

hoax in American history. The Smartest Man In The World plots a daring escape.



06 Watchmen - This Extraordinary Being.

Deep under the influence of Nostalgia, Angela gets a first hand account of her

grandfather's journey.



07 Watchmen - An Almost Religious Awe.

Under Lady Trieu's care, Angela undergoes an unconventional treatment. Laurie

chases down a lead. The smartest man in the world delivers a crude defence of his

past actions.
