Trivia:

In the UK, parts of Europe and Australia, this movie is called Roadkill.

As in those countries, "Joy Ride" means to steal a car and drive it to its limits, then abandon it after.


They switched the voice over for Rusty Nail many times, before Paul Walker who worked with Ted Levine on The Fast & The Furious, suggested he'd be perfect for it. Ted Levine voiced Rusty Nail at the last second before it was released in theatres. It was too late to change the opening/closing credits when he recorded his lines. So he is not listed as a cast member.
