__V3 note:__ V3 has ending theme hotfixes for the Theatrical Mono, Drama Album and Home Video Stereo tracks. The ending theme timings in this pack's Japanese tracks now closely match, so only the 2016 version subtitles are needed now. Should've caught that earlier. Mea culpa. I'm probably not going to update the DVD audio pack; any changes will likely instead be ported to the DVD remux V2 someday. --- Audio pack for use with the controversial 2025 UHD+BD release. For practical reasons, the audio pack assumes the 2016 Perfect Edition (00002.mpls = 00004.m2ts UHD / 00002.m2ts BD). Optical soundtrack transfer speed fluctuation corrected in ending theme • Drama Album: turntable speed fluctuation correction in ending theme completely redone in V3 • Home Video Stereo: improved timing² and redid the 1993 LD insert³ to fix loudness issue. Ending theme starts 1 frame earlier V3 • Perfect Edition Dolby SR: improved timing², new bit-perfect capture, ending theme fade-out extended with 1992 LD⁴ • Toho dubs: Replaced in V2 with JTaylorPro's fresh capture and sync of the Japanese LD. The Japanese HV ver. was left as is. I combined the left-channel with UK VHS inserts to recreate the original version. UK VHS is frame blended standards conversion in case you wonder. __Notes__ ¹ While the Perfect Edition Dolby Surround is present on the UHD, it is based on Bandai's inferior compressed mastering from the 1992 CAV LaserDisc (via the tweaked mastering of the 2007 DVD). You can hear artifacting during 0-G Love that is not present on Shogakukan Video's 1993 CLV LaserDisc. ² I previously referenced the 2016 BD Perfect Edition Dolby Surround timing, but I noticed timing issues on the first reel. There are mistimed changes in the HV Stereo and PE Dolby SR that can't be fixed (e.g. in Dolby SR when drunk Fokker comes to the rescue) ³ A ±660ms insert after Misa reminisced about Riber, because 1984 LD cuts audio there to compensate for a poorly executed *fix* 6 minutes earlier. 12 frames were cut to correct an animation loop error when Macross leaves Titan's orbit (see 2007 DVD disc 2 00:15:59 for error), but they forgot to cut the audio as well! Later releases correct the animation with blending. ⁴ 1993 LD ending theme fade-out is shorter to accomodate the extras at the end of the side. CLV LDs have a limit of 60 minutes per side.
