Men of War II is set in the realities of World War II. The production offers two extensive story campaigns. In the first one, we take command of the Allies and fight on the Western Front, while the second one allows us to take command of the Red Army and challenge the Third Reich on the Eastern Front.

In Men of War II, we watch warfare from a bird's eye view. During the game, we give commands to infantry, vehicles and air forces. In total, 45 battalions and over 300 different machines were implemented in the game. Each unit has a unique specialization and an individual set of strengths and weaknesses, the skillful use of which is the key to success.

The battles in which we take part take place in various sceneries. The battlefields here include snow-covered Russian hills, European villages and ruined cities. If we want to be successful, we must approach each battle individually and develop separate tactics for it. The latter should take into account not only the number and capabilities of our subordinates, but also the terrain and buildings (as well as the presence of bridges, rivers and even forests that enable preparation of ambushes). It is worth remembering that any building here can be razed to the ground. Although this way we can deprive our opponents of their covers, our subordinates can also be covered with a pile of rubble at any time.

Compared to the first part of the series, this production stands out due to its much more advanced AI. In addition, the game implements the so-called Front Line, which divides the battlefield into two parts. Its course is determined by the actions of the infantry and is very important because we can only perform some operations on our side. Moreover, thanks to the Direct Vision function, the title allows us to take direct control of the selected unit and watch the action in a TPP or FPP view. Wearing the skin of a given soldier, we can conduct fire on our own or even drive a tank around the battlefield, controlling it ourselves.


In addition to two single-player campaigns, Men of War II offers quick skirmishes as well as an extensive multiplayer mode, with a cooperative module and competitive gameplay variants. The item also includes various modding tools and a level editor.

Men of War II boasts high-quality graphics. The spectacular explosions and realistic destruction of the environment are especially impressive. Moreover, all units have been designed with attention to detail. The sound layer is of an equally high standard.
