David Packus is in a difficult situation – his young family is about to be replenished with a baby, and he still does not have a steady income. For luck, David meets his school friend Ephraim Diveroli, a very dubious businessman who, using loopholes in the system of government orders of the US army, earns money by trading weapons. Pacifist Packus gives in under the pressure of a friend and joins the work of reselling ammunition and very soon finds himself involved in a series of fairly large, but very dangerous operations, the guys even manage to conclude a contract with the government for three hundred million dollars to re-equip the Afghan army. However, the rapid rise burns the wings of entrepreneurs – first a quarrel, and then an internal investigation by the Pentagon reveals a lot of violations of the company of Pakaus and Diveroli.

How long have Miles Teller and Jonah Hill been on the Hollywood radar? The first just some four years ago noted the opportunity to break away without parents in the teen comedy "Project X: We Broke through", the second shines twice as long - if we discard his modest appearances in "The Clique" and "A Little pregnant", then the starting point of popularity should be considered "Siregpertsev". But now, come on, they both starred in not one or even two major projects, and not only the comedy ones they started with, but quite dramatic ones, Hill even managed to get two Oscar nominations. Is it any wonder that the guys met in a joint project combining satire with sharp criticism of modern United States politics?

"Guys with guns" does contain several sharp attacks against the American government, which not only allows its soldiers to participate in bloody conflicts around the world, but also connects crooks from the outside to this "export of terror". The plot of the film about two young people who prefer grass and gatherings in clubs to hard work, the film's director Todd Phillips learned in a magazine article – at one time Rolling Stone reporter Guy Lawson described a simple scheme thanks to which the US army literally threw money. The article came out and even caused a certain surge of interest in public procurement, but the topic quickly deflated – work on the mistakes was carried out, the perpetrators were punished. However, Hollywood, scouring the back streets, has already seized on the story, but it turned out to be quite difficult to promote it to the extent required for a major production.

We warn you right away that you cannot believe everything that is happening on the screen. Moreover, you can't believe in "Guys with guns" for almost a single frame. The movie is a complete fiction. There were no trips through Iraq in the lives of Packus and Diveroli, trips to Europe were not so dramatic, the screenwriters completely invented David's personal life.
