Oppenheimer

Oppenheimer, il film diretto da Christopher Nolan, è ambientato negli anni '40 ed è incentrato sulla figura storica dello scienziato americano J. Robert Oppenheimer, interpretato da Cillian Murphy, considerato uno dei padri dell bomba atomica.

Nel 1942, in peina Seconda Guerra Mondiale, convinti che la Germania Nazista stia sviluppando un'arma nucelare, gli Stati Uniti danno il via, nel più grande segreto, al Progetto Manhattan destinato a mettere a punto la prima bomba atomica della storia. Il governo americano decide di mettere a capo del progetto il brillante fisico J. Robert Oppenheimer. Nato a New York nel 1904 da genitori di origini tedesche ed ebraiche, a poco meno di quarant'anni aveva già dato un grande contributo allo sviluppo della fisica moderna.

Nei laboratori ultra segreti a Los Alamos, nel deserto del New Mexico, lo scienziato e la sua squadra di esperti inziano a progettare un'arma rivoluzionaria le cui terribili conseguenze continuano a farsi sentire ai giorni nostri.
