Encoder Note 1: This is a re-post of a previous encode using a newer and slower encoding technique. The bitrate of the video stream is 233% higher. The file size is 170% larger. The CRF value was reduced to 9 with a SDR source. A single OPUS 5.1 English stream was used for higher audio quality and a reduced file size. 95% of the file size is the video quality. Only 5% is the audio stream. SVT-AV1 Mode 3 was used instead of 4 for higher encoding accuracy (better video quality). All filters were removed in favour of a relatively light amount of Stimulated Grain Synthesis. This did a better job at removing colour banding.
Encoder Note 2: Total encoding time was 8h 41m on a i9-12900k. The bitrate of the video stream is 4242kbps, which is relatively high on AV1. This is equivalent to a whopping 8484kbps on x264. A 24.2GB Bluray remux was used with an untouched video and audio stream from the original Bluray. Only the actual movie was included in the remux. No filters were applied to change the video. Everything was done using the tools within SVT-AV1 video encoder, developed by Intel and AOM.
Distribution note: This movie will be distributed with a 4MB piece size to make it easier to seed. Please note effective immediately, each IP Address is only allowed 1 connection to my seed box. I often post multiple torrents at once. Simply keep the torrents running and they will be serviced one at a time. This allows torrents to be seeded for as long as possible. It also builds up seeder counts faster and reduces congestion. Older torrent clients like uTorrent may have trouble connecting to libtorrent rakshasa. If you're getting slow speeds or no transfer, restart the torrent or wait for more seeders.
UserHEVC encodes AV1 movies. Razor high video quality. Reasonable file size.
UserHEVC recommends a 6.02GB video stream on x264, to match 3.01GB video quality on AV1.
