Although best known for their BBC, and to a lesser extent, Thames shows, there is still a lot to like in this early Morecambe and Wise show, as we see the boys in all the usual sort of sketches and musical numbers that we came to know and love.While it's not the strongest material the double act produced, we can see the evolution of the catchphrases, and spot how the boys started to develop their personas from this show, so it's invaluable viewing for any Morecambe and Wise fan.

Each show features fast-moving skits and musical parodies, with Eric and Ernie giving us their inimitable versions of television favourites Supercar, Face to Face and Candid Camera, in addition to memorable interpretations of Shakespeare, Eric's ongoing battle to get his lines right and undoubtedly the most ambitious attempt ever seen to recreate the 'fight sequence' from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers!
