n the gritty New Orleans underbelly, beleaguered Detective Sean Riley is trying to cope with the death of his young

Sean Riley jest detektywem z Nowego Orleanu, którego w ostatnim czasie życie mocno doświadczyło. W niedawnym

huraganie Katrina zginął jego syn, żona go zostawiła i wyjechała, a w pracy grozi mu zawieszenie. Ostatecznie

wraz z Willem Ganzem, młodym detektywem z wydziału zabójstw zostaje mu przydzielone nowe zadanie. Policjanci

mają za zadanie rozwiązać zagadkę dotyczącą serii brutalnych morderstw, które doprowadziły w mieście do wojny

gangów. Wkrótce odkrywają, że w Nowym Orleanie dzieje się coś znacznie poważniejszego niż się początkowo wydawało.
