The title says "uncensored," but there was not actually anything censored this week. ____________________________________ Last week, for episode 2, I included an OP translation that was submitted to me by spacenoid. Although I was happy to include the TL because I found it extremely entertaining, I received some (fairly passionate) feedback that it may not be accurate. Unfortunately, I don't speak Japanese, so I'm not qualified to evaluate translations or make corrections to them. I won't defend spacenoid's translation (since I don't have the expertise to know if it's good), and I won't remove it (since I don't have the expertise to know if it's bad). But what I *will* do, starting this week, is give a platform for people to show their alternative translations to the world! The first new translation being put on display is by Ergzay, who busted into my Discord server guns blazing with several mean things to say about spacenoid's translation, but who then bravely backed up his talk by providing his own go at it. Next week, we'll have a "singable" translation edited by an experienced fansubber. Unless we have other submissions, we'll go back to spacenoid after that. Going forward, I will include all previously submitted OPs as alternate subtitle tracks so you can pick whichever one you want. More than one translator has described this OP as a nightmare to tackle due to the frankly insane things festering in the official written lyrics. Do you think you can dive into that madness, extract some shred of lucidity from the myriad puns, and show it to the rest of us? If so, do your own translation and send it in! As long as it appears to be a unique, earnest effort with non-broken English, I'll include it!
