Die neue Amazon-Serie zeigt auf komödiantische Art und Weise, wie das Leben von Jean-Claude Van Damme nach seiner Glanzzeit aussieht. Ganz nebenbei war der Kampfsportexperte neben seiner Tätigkeit als Schauspieler übrigens als tödlicher Geheimagent unterwegs und will jetzt nicht nur seine Filmkarriere neu starten, sondern auch wieder auf die Jagd nach bösen Buben gehen.



Jean-Claude Van Johnson wurde von Ridley Scott produziert. Ich habe seit sehr langen kein guter Film von Ridley Scott und seiner Produktionsfirma Scott Free gesehen. Er war für mich in der Versenkung verschwunden, und dann putzt er eine solche Miniserie mit Jean-Claude Van Damme heraus. Van Damme ist ein Hollywoodstar der mit seinen Actionfilmen sehr berühmt wurde, aber das ist nur alles Tarnung, in Wirklichkeit ist er ein Agent und jagt richtige Bösewichte. Dabei wird Van Damme immer wieder mit seinem Ruf und seinem Alter konfrontiert. Die Serie ist eine Van Damme Satire mit allen Klischees eines Van Dammes Films, sogar die Doppelrolle
