Un mostro di nome Larry che si manifesta attraverso gli smart phones e altri congegni elettronici prende di mira un bambino autistico di nome Oliver che usa principalmente il suo tablet e il suo cellulare per comunicare con il prossimo.
Oliver è un bambino affetto da autismo. Come purtroppo accade per molti nella sua condizione, Oliver è solitario e incompreso, riuscendo a comunicare con gli altri solo tramite tablet e cellulare.
Disperatamente alla ricerca di amico, che possa essergli di conforto e soprattutto di aiuto per svagarsi rispetto alla grigia quotidianità, non riesce però mai a trovare qualcuno con il quale condividere la propria esistenza. Un giorno, però, una creatura misteriosa cerca di entrare nel suo mondo proprio attraverso i dispositivi di Oliver. I suoi genitori, Sarah e Marty, resosi conto dell’accaduto, dovranno combattere per salvare loro figlio dal mostro che si è palesato ferocemente dentro e soprattutto oltre lo schermo.
