REMEMBER: This is a crossover series, but it is also the only origin story that exists, it's based on the real story of the Doctor (from book and TV),

but it also contains the origins of "The Last Time War"



a timeless tale of war traveling throughout all of time and space, a war that has been going since time itself began.



Many guardians exist throughout - but most are vowed only to observe and never interfere,



And several great fortress' of good are strategically located

in the center of the Galaxy where they can watch over all,



but the forces of darkness grow ambitiously towards their end game...

and their end goal !

There is a back story to it that clears it up,

SEASON 01 SYNOPSIS



basically it's the (John Hurt) "War Doctor" vs the 1st Doctor in his youth,

In the beginning the Doctor was raised on Earth (fact) before he went to his home planet,

In this story - during the "Time Wars" the War Doctor (John Hurt) tries to create a weapon to defend the Earth against the Daleks and anything else, one that unlike the nuke, wont kill us all.



In doing so accidentally creates a weapon that sends him back through time. Creating the "time slips" or "cracks" that will haunt his future. But when he is transported back in time he meets the first Doctor in his youth (Raul Julia) aka Doctor Frankenstein, he then realizes that this young Doctor is the very version that created his way of thinking that could very well destroy reality.



Can he reason with a version of himself that does not care for humanity, and to tell him would make it worse, but he cannot afford to change his own past! So he decides to try and reason with him only to find that he's a megalomaniac, and so devises a plan to remove the young Dr's monster from the equation taking him back to his own time. Meanwhile Dr Frankenstein is arrested, in prison for 15yrs.



15yrs after his arrest, he is sentenced to hanging, where he gets his loyal assistant to help him fake his own hanging. Because he has been in jail for 15 yrs no-one recognizes him, so he changes his name to Dr Stein, where he attempts to remake his monster, after he finally does he realizes his own folly, and is forced to change his identity once again - where he becomes Dr VanHelsing!



As Dr Van Helsing, he is then faced with something that makes his own evil pale by comparison! Count Dracula (awoken by the blood of the grave robber). After battling the evil of Dracula, he then realizes his talents would be better spent creating a Time Machine, he then travels with his GrandDaughter for years before landing on his birth planet Galifrey. There the Time Lords confiscate his Earth built TARDIS



The Time Lords reverse engineer the TARDIS with their superior technology.

Shortly after Galifrey is at war over the "Hands Of Omega", powerful gauntlets that control life and death.

He then takes and hides one of the gauntlets on Earth beneath a Church where Torchwood finds it.

And that's where the 1963 series starts
