Din è un ragazzo determinato che vorrebbe riallacciare i contatti con la sua migliore amica d'infanzia, Lina. Ad aiutarlo ci penserà il Drago dei desideri, Long. Pur tuttavia la loro non sarà un'impresa facile, perché quando hai la possibilità di esaudire ogni tuo desiderio, devi soprattutto scoprire cosa conta davvero.
Din è uno studente universitario con tanti sogni nel cassetto ma con poche possibilità economiche per realizzarli.
Un giorno, come per magia, Din incontrerà un drago, Long. Quest’ultimo, dal carattere cinico, ha però un indubbio talento: può esaudire ogni desiderio gli venga posto. Quel che fa proprio al caso di Din, che stringerà amicizia con la mitica creatura e partirà con lui verso un’incredibile avventura.
Insieme, Din e Long si addentreranno nella moderna Shanghai per andare alla ricerca di Lina, un’amica di infanzia del ragazzo del quale quest’ultimo non aveva da tempo notizie. Nel frattempo, sia Din quanto Long, a caccia del desiderio perfetto da realizzare, comprenderanno un po’ alla volta il reale valore delle cose che li circondano…
