The saga follows the family through economic depression, World War II, and through growing up, school, courtship, marriage, employment, birth, aging, illness and death.

The Walton's was a hugely popular series in the USA and Canada and elsewhere back beginning in 1971 when the program first aired on TV.

The main stars - our dear most folks Mr. Ralph Waite and beautifully Irish spirited Ms. Michelle Learned (a born Christianly spirit to the core as clearly comes through) - Ralph was formerly a Minister in the church - so they do get decent folks no doubt who come for the right reasons to the cause of setting a good example with genuine merit as is certainly the case in respect of
these two best sorts in the United states and for whom we are all thankful - those of us who consider ourselves kin and on behalf of all others of our family in their midst there in the US and on the planet too I say.

I like a kindlier spirit around than we are too often shown along the way with the "George Bush" personality types radiating with too much negativity against the spirit I make reference to here above and suggest no one kowtow to this in our midst in the future - never again in our own space certainly too as degeneration of the spirit is all that ever comes from it - and that's never as good a way to be.

Interesting treatment on issues in regards to race related cultural interactions even back at the time
such as in S7E08 etc I believe it was, especially it would appear (A recently college graduated black
woman seeks to replace the white employer in the picture at the place of employment involved
in an interesting confrontation, for example)
