This episode revolves around a young boy Abraham, (set between 1818-1840) see his struggles as the hardships of the era leave many people starving and unemployed due to slavery even this poor young boys father is reduced to working on the docks for a highly evil man,

but a man with wealth and power, an untouchable man!



Young Abraham's best friend is often mistreated by his employer because he believes "if they're not white, they're not free..."



Abraham's young friend and his family can't even complain about the constant abuse and torture at the hands of this tyrant, because...

if they complain to the authorities they risk being accused of being escaped slaves - even though this family was born free,

and in accordance with the laws of the day if you're born free, then you can't be enslaved, but it would be their word against a rich white man who trade in slaves, as well as other produce.
Possible SpoilerCan Abraham save his friend and his family before the unthinkable happens?
