E' la storia di Samantha O'Hara (Megan Fox), un mercenario dal carattere indurito dalle guerre. La donna è alla guida di una squadra di soldati per portare a termine una delicata missione: salvare un gruppo di ostaggi nelle remote terre dell'Africa. L'operazione, però, non va come previsto e la squadra si ritrova bloccata nell'impervio territorio, attaccata da una gang di ribelli. Non dovranno fare i conti soltanto con i rivoltosi, ma anche con i re della savana, famelici leoni pronti a sferrare attacchi nel loro regno.
