L'origine del film è da rintracciarsi nel lungometraggio prodotto nel 1974 dalla società tailandese Thai Burin Films insieme alla giapponese Tsuburaya Production, dal titolo Jumborg Ace & Giant (Yak Wat Jaeng pob Jambo A) che aveva riscosso in patria un grande successo, tanto da convincere la taiwanese Hsing Hua Film Production Company a rilevarne i diritti.

Il giovane Ling, in una profonda caverna nei pressi del tempio del guardiano, rinviene una statuetta antica di 3000 anni raffigurante il dio guerriero Yak Wat Jaeng. Intanto, il re di Marte Chin-Fung dichiara guerra ai terrestri! I marziani, dopo essersi impadroniti di una pietra magica che permette loro di attivare una terribile arma installata sulla Luna in grado di emanare un raggio mortale a lunga gittata, colpiscono le città della Terra seminando caos e distruzione.
