  In the spirit of the Globe Around The Globe tour of a few years ago, this Midsummer

Night's Dream  has a selection of subtitle files included.  It reflects the

international cast including Anjana Vasan, Ankur Bahl and Zubin Varla.



  During my continuing effort to learn effective subtitles I've added Hindi and

Swahili as well as French and German. Chinese, Spanish and French and Polish in the

folder called SUB folder All.  This is all manually done but the source subtitle is

original and has the introduction from the presenter Myra Syal and textual elements Emma Rice

has used plus the ad-libs of Ankur Bahl, Meow-Meow (Mellasa Madden-Gray) and others.



  Who knows? If it is well-accepted another recode can be done with even more

languages.



  But the new tools for translation allow for these effects to be added by the user--

effects not considered by the original DVD issued at Opus Arte where the original

English subtitle (English only) appeared.  There is a separate notes file with some

information on that called Subtitle Notes and Methods.  



 My recodes usually have an act break.  But a subtitle file timestamp goes straight

through on the original work.  That original subtitle file can  be translated using

free tools-- no API from Google needed.    With the original subtitle entered into the translator,  

the user can select many languages.  Once the desired subtitle is downloaded,  your media player

can mount it as an external subtitle in VLC or Daum Pot Player or others.



   [ Swahili appears in the player as [und]  (undetermined) since it simply was not

      in the list of MKVMerge labels used to multiplex these additional subs.]



As always I encourage the purchase of the DVD which is available for schools and

libraries for all to enjoy.
