Luz, a self-assured teenage girl who accidentally stumbles upon a portal to a magical world where she befriends a rebellious witch, Eda, and an adorably tiny warrior, King. Hexside gets closed for a pixie infestation so Luz, Eda, and King decide to go to the Bonesborough carnival with Eda seeing it as a good time to sell her human merchandise. They run into Tibbles who runs a miniature circus called the Tent of Tiny Terrors. They soon find out that it's really Tibbles shrinking folks and they are in for the fight of their lives to get big again.
