Alla fine della stagione precedente il gruppo con a capo Morgan, che doveva inizialmente condurre i personaggi ad Alessandria per iniziare una nuova vita, decide di rimanere dove si trovano e di seguire il messaggio d’amore e di aiuto del prossimo di un camionista ormai deceduto, che lasciava per strada delle provviste in una scatola con iscritto
"Questo mondo può sorprendervi. Prendete ciò che vi serve e lasciate il superfluo"
Trovato un posto vivibile, il gruppo, con individui che si sentono in colpa per ciò che hanno fatto nella loro nuova vita avendo ucciso degli umani, cerca di espiare le proprie colpe per salvare il prossimo. Ma il pericolo è dietro l’angolo: un uomo, Logan, li farà andare in un luogo pieno di contaminazioni per cercare in quella “abitazione”, in cui il gruppo risiede, informazioni su una piattaforma petrolifera, ma lui non è il danno collaterale peggiore, un gruppo d’individui comandati da Virginia affermano di voler aiutare il prossimo ma allo stesso tempo vanno a uccidere tutti quelli che non rientrano, a loro avviso, nel futuro. Come affronteranno queste sfide?
