Plot: E' la storia del mondo rivisitata da Mel Brooks che ci ha voluto raccontare la "sua" storia attraverso due lunghi episodi, quello del filosofo Comicus nella Roma imperiale e quello delle tribolazioni di un popolano che assomiglia a Re Luigi nella Francia della Rivoluzione. Il tutto inframezzato da alcuni lampeggianti quadri-flash e da un intermezzo ambientato al tempo dell'Inquisizione. La promessa di un seguito, con un grottesco prossimamente, conclude la storia.
