О фильме:

Из тихоокеанских джунглей на Нью-Йорк надвинулась страшная катастрофа. На глазах у потрясённых жителей рушатся небоскребы, переворачиваются автобусы, уходят под землю целые кварталы. Но это не ураган и не землетрясение. Это — Годзилла, самое ужасное чудовище в истории. Для него человеческая цивилизация — лишь жалкий муравейник, дома — спичечные коробки, вертолеты — назойливые стрекозы. Мегаполису грозит полное уничтожение. Армия, оснащённая по последнему слову техники, не в силах противостоять гигантской ящерице. Небольшой группе смельчаков предстоит выяснить, зачем Годзилла пришёл в Нью-Йорк.
