Trama:

Set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws, Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name, while attempting to break new ground of its own.



Watchmen, la serie tv di HBO, è una nuova trasposizione, a opera di Damon Lindelof, dell'acclamata graphic novel di Alan Moore e Dave Gibbons. Ambientata in un mondo alternativo in cui i supereroi sono considerati dei fuorilegge, la serie trae ispirazione dalle vicende narrate nel fumetto, ma si pone come una versione al tempo stesso nostalgica e innovativa nel tentativo di aprire nuovi orizzonti, influenzati da figure politiche contemporanee. Jeremy Irons interpreta una versione "invecchiata" di Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias, mentre Jean Smart è una agente dell'FBI impegnata nelle indagini su un omicidio. Regina King veste i panni di Angela Abar e Tim Blake Nelson quelli di Looking Glass. Nel cast troviamo inoltre Lily Rose Smith, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II , Andrew Howard, Dylan Schombing, Adelaide Clemens, Frances Fisher, Louis Gossett Jr. e Don Johnson.
