A risky expedition along thoroughfares that harbour mortal danger for those who use them or live on them. They run through deserts, ice and snow, deep in the jungle, along water and over mountains: the world's most dangerous roads, truly "hot roads." Many have died along these roads.





1)  The Manahli Leh Highway

In this episode we travel along the 490km Manahli-Leh highway travelling with truckers who transport goods from New Delhi to Leh, a 2000km round trip journey.



2)  The Nawabpur Road in Dhaka

In this episode we are in Dhaka, Bangladesh where cycle rickshaws, taxis and trucks struggle to get through the traffic.



3)  The Long Road to Siberia

In this episode we head to roads of Siberian where even the experienced drivers have a hard time driving in snow and ice



4)  The Road to Death in the Andes

"The Road of Death" as it is rightly called is a long strech of road in the Andes which has claimed the lives of many truckers.



5)  The Racing Cyclists of Burundi

Working as couriers, they deliver heavy loads of goods perched precariously on their cycle carriers as they race along the highways on Burundi at break neck speeds.



6)  The Sichuan-Tibet Highway

The Sichuan-Tibet Highway is a 2,142km long high-elevation road that begins in Chengdu of Sichuan on the east and ends at Lhasa in Tibet on the west.



7)  The Philippines Serpentines

We head to Philippines to travel in this highway that is treacherous yet indispensable to the people who live here.



8)  The Canadian Ice Roads

This episode about Canadian Ice Roads covers a journey 1,300km route which starts at Winnipeg and concludes at God'''s Lake. Both places are located within the same state - Manitoba, Canada.
