Thenavan, a pensive young man who attempts to compromise by complying with his mother's wish meets up with Sheila, an exquisite looking dark-skinned woman whose insecurities have been tapped due to constantly being rejected by her suitors because of her complexion. Sheila falls for Thenavan, finding a comfortable companion in him. Meanwhile, Thenavan politely rejects the arranged marriage proposal and suggests they become friends instead. The reason behind his repetitive action of rejecting proposals come to light as he coincidentally catches sight of Kalyani, his high school crush. Thenavan double -lmindedly approaches Kalyani only to discover that her handbag has been stolen upon arriving in Kuala Lumpur. Kalyani feeling somewhat annoyed has no choice but to reluctantly accept Thenavan's offer to help. Thenavan requests and manages to convince Kalyani to have a cup of coffee with him in return of his favor. An hour conversation in the cafe brings them to believe that they might probably have more similarities than they have presumed. In a strange twist of fate, an unexpected phone call from Kalyani's former lover Sathya throws a curve ball in the relationships that are about to blossom between Kalyani, Thenavan and Sheila.
