Moana Waialiki is a sea voyaging enthusiast and the only daughter of a chief in a long line of navigators. The only way to heal the island is to persuade Maui to return Te Fiti's heart, so Moana sets off on an epic journey across the Pacific. The film is based on stories from Polynesian mythology.

Description

Moana Waialiki is a brave young woman, daughter of the head of a tribe in Oceania, coming from a long line of navigators. Wanting to find out more about her past and help her family, she decides to leave in search of her ancestors, inhabitants of a mythical island that nobody knows where it is. Accompanied by the legendary demigod Maui, Moana begins her journey in the open sea, where she faces terrible sea creatures and discovers stories of the underworld.
