My notes



  This is another in the collection of plays from The Globe Theatre. The Globe Twelfth Night has a different look from what has come before in these releases. The production features what the Globe terms in their documentation an "Original Practices" presentation as it would be seen in the time of Shakespeare's England including makeup and wig materials.



  In this production Mark Rylance plays Olivia to a standing-with-no-elbow- room audience in the Groundlings area in front of the stage.  Paul Chahidi as Maria appears in another recorded play, an adaptation of "Salome" by Yael Farber (yet to be added to my list).
