Six years ago NASA discovered the possibility of alien life within our solar system. A probe was launched to collect samples, but crashed upon re-entry over North America. Soon after, new life forms began to appear and half of Mexico was quarantined as an INFECTED ZONE. Today, the American and Mexican military still struggle to contain "the creatures"...... Our story begins when a US journalist agrees to escort a shaken tourist through the infected zone in Mexico to the safety of the US border.

Sinopsis
Hace seis años se descubrió vida extraterrestre en el Sistema Solar. Sin embargo, la sonda de la NASA que regresaba con las muestras se estrelló en México y la mitad del país se ha convertido en una zona «infectada», una vasta zona en cuarentena que está poblada por gigantescas criaturas y vigilada por aire por los militares de Estados Unidos y México. El reportero fotográfico Andrew Kaulder (Scoot McNairy) se encuentra en San José cuando recibe la orden de recoger a Samantha Wynden (Whitney Able), la hija del dueño de la agencia de noticias donde trabaja, y escoltarla hasta una zona segura de la costa.
