The legend is that Red is as elusive as he is clever, controlling a labyrinth of creative enterprises, coupled with uncanny ability to gather and finesse information at the drop of a hat. On the first day at FBI for a new female profiler fresh out of Quantico, Red offers to bandy wits with the FBI. Red promises to deliver various criminals and plots previously unknown to any branch of law enforcement... and all Red requests in return is to choose his muse.

Torna su FoxCrime The Blacklist e la terza stagione si apre con una grossa novità. Non è più Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader) il nemico pubblico numero uno, ma è la profiler, Elizabeth "Liz" Keen (Megan Boone). La prima stagione si era aperta con Red, ricercato numero uno dall'Fbi, che interrompe la latitanza e decide di collaborare con gli investigatori, aiutandoli a scovare i peggiori criminali internazionali con i quali ha avuto a che fare durante la sua "brillante" carriera. Un regolamento di conti in piena regola che non può non far gola alla polizia federale. In cambio Red ha chiesto l'immunità e vuole solo la giovane Liz al suo fianco. Il motivo non è noto a nessuno, neanche a lei.

Ora Red e Liz non fanno più parte della task force dell'Fbi. La profiler è vittima di un complotto internazionale ed è accusata dell'omicidio del procuratore generale degli Stati Uniti. Ora la ricercata del'Fbi è lei, ma Red non ha intenzione di abbandonarla al suo destino. La caccia alla coppia di fuggitivi è aperta e durerà per tutta la stagione.
