Nel giugno 1941, otto militari italiani sbarcano su una piccola isola dell'Egeo, con il compito di stabilirvi un presidio. L'isola appare deserta in quanto è stata parzialmente abbandonata dalla popolazione greca dopo aver subito la precedente sanguinosa occupazione tedesca.
