О фильме:
Вольная интерпретация событий времен раннего Средневековья – экшн-драма, созданная на основе скандинавских саг сценаристом «Тюдоров» и «Елизаветы» Майклом Хёрстом. Сериал поведает о ранних набегах викингов на Британские острова и Западно-Франкское королевство. Главный герой – Рагнар Лодброк – вождь викингов, по норвежской легенде прямой потомок самого Одина, бога войны и воинов. Он бросает вызов местному правителю и вместе со своим верным другом, талантливым мастером Флоки, строит быстроходный корабль, чтобы отправиться покорять новые земли. Рагнара и его соратников ждут победы и поражения, а вместе с ними и жестокое противостояние с действующим ярлом, воле которого он осмелился перечить. В роли легендарного воина австралийский актер Трэвис Фиммел («Варкрафт»).
В пятом сезоне исторический эпик впервые будет существовать без своего незабвенного вождя. Однако это ничуть не убавит динамики и драматического накала, за которые сериал так полюбился зрителям. Война между братьями, планы мести за смерть отца, и вообще, как утверждает королева Каттегата, “конец света”. Судя по трейлерам, всё к этому и идет.
