OPIS

In WW1 the high casualty rate among the rookie pilots of the Royal Flying Corps puts an enormous

strain on the survivors.

Akcja rozgrywa się w czasie I wojny światowej. Croft (Peter Firth), młody brytyjski oficer, absolwent

szkoły pilotów, przybywa na front zachodni, by toczyć powietrzną walkę z Niemcami. Dowódcą elitarnej

eskadry jest cyniczny, zmęczony wojną Gresham (Malcolm McDowell), którego naiwny chłopak szczerze podziwia.

Niebawem bezsensowne i błędne decyzje sztabu sprawią, że wojna odciśnie na Croftcie okrutne, traumatyczne

piętno.
