In 1942 British soldier Jack Celliers comes to a Japanese prison camp. The camp is run by Yonoi, who has a firm belief in discipline, honor and glory. In his view, the allied prisoners are cowards when they chose to surrender instead of committing suicide. One of the prisoners, interpreter John Lawrence, tries to explain the Japanese way of thinking, but is considered a traitor.

Description
_______________________________________________◉获奖情况◉_______________________________________________第36届戛纳电影节 (1983)主竞赛单元金棕榈奖(提名) 大岛渚_______________________________________________◉标签记录◉_______________________________________________坂本龙一 | 日本 | 大岛渚 | 北野武 | 战争 | 日本电影 | 同性 | David_Bowie_______________________________________________◉关键词语◉_______________________________________________Japan | Samurai | World War Ii | Prisoner Of War | Soldier | Cult Film_______________________________________________◉类似题材◉_______________________________________________
