A slightly unhinged cop is partnered with a veteran detective trying to maintain a low stress level in his life.

Liberamente ispirato alla serie di film "Arma Letale", la serie segue le avventure di due poliziotti della Polizia di Los Angeles, Martin Riggs e Roger Murtaugh. A rendere tutto interessante e allo stesso tempo divertente è il netto contrasto tra i caratteri dei due protagonisti, Riggs è infatti sempre pronto all'azione e si butta a capofitto nelle missioni anche esponendosi ai pericoli, mentre Murtaugh è decisamente più cauto e attento perchè quello che più conta per lui è poter tornare a casa dalla sua famiglia. Nonostante le loro diversità, comunque, i due riescono a formare un bel team e a diventare amici, ma riuscirà Murtaugh a mettere un po' di sale in zucca a Riggs?
