从老家来到仙台求学的大学生椎名（濱田岳 饰），在公寓的门口遇见了一个自称名叫河崎（瑛太 饰）的神秘男子。河崎称隔壁住着一个不丹人，不丹人搞不清鸭子和野鸭的区别。为了帮助他，河崎决定去书店打劫一本《广辞苑》，并邀请椎名参加。
懵懂的椎名稀里糊涂随着河崎行动了，不过河崎却错拿了一本《广辞林》。随着和河崎交往的日渐加深，椎名逐渐了解了他真实的面目，以及两年前发生的一段令人难以忘怀的故事……
