This is a conversion from the Criterion bluray disc which we managed to get copied
using CloneBD version 7 software. We prefer using DVDFAB normally however they
have to catch up on the kinds of discs there are out there as too many wont convert
at the present time using their latest software. We are in touch with them and have
been sharing some information on the files concerned and they appear to be willing
to fix the problem at this point. They have much nicer software and are responsive
unlike the folks at CloneDB so I hope they come through as they appear willing to.

I might also mention that I wanted to convert for you "My Dinner with Andre" - another
Criterion issued bluray rendition however the quality of the original
disc they sell is so poor that I think our DVD version may be just as good for the
present time - or perhaps just a 2gig 1080p will do - we'll see what we decide to do soon.

Babette's feast (In Danish French and Swedish spoken languages) subtitles included for
Czech Dutch English French Greek Norwegian Polish Portuguese Romanian Serbian
Spanish and Swedish - We ripped the english subs off the discs (the only subs they had)
and used it along with subtitles editor from Denmark (they are donation supported) to translate
the english to Swedish (powered by google) as no Swedish subs were found elsewhere and on
the net for you for this important movie of interest to the area especially I would think. The rest
of the subs we found on the net and had to re-sync some to fit. The Italian subs we found were
for a different version of the movie and no German subs found either this time - sorry - please use
subtitles editor if you like - it only takes a minute to translate the entire srt file for you (making use
in this respect of the english srt subtitle source file included).

Babettes Feast (which I saw at a theater in Edmonton catering to the best movies from Europe
some years ago now) is about a French woman displaying the sort of
generosity of Spirit that the French are certainly well known for if not as the
best example of, and the rest of the family that have the desire can only
follow along I suppose - although many in the rest of the family will be hard
to outdo equally from areas such as Sweden Germany Spain etc where this same sort of generous
community minded spirit shows itself from time to time among kin and community at large too of course.
