The story is centred around the Algiers Motel incident, which occurred in Detroit, Michigan on July 25, 1967, during the racially charged 12th Street Riot. & BTBTT.ME & BT之家。　　后来警方增援到来，强行驱散黑人，但适得其反，黑人越聚越多最终引发波及全城的大规模骚动。这场骚乱持续了五天，造成43人死亡，许多建筑被毁、许多人受伤。骚乱还蔓延到伊利诺伊、北卡罗来纳、田纳西、马里兰州。
