Ferdinand

TRAMA:

La storia del film Ferdinand è quella del toro del titolo. Il toro Ferdinando ha l'aspetto del feroce toro da corrida: esemplare robusto, dal manto nero e lucente ma con un temperamento tutt'altro che irascibile, un toro che, a differenza di tutti gli altri suoi amici, e a dispetto della sua stazza e della sua forza, non ha alcun interesse nel dimostrare di essere potente e feroce né di diventare un temuto toro da corrida che terrorizzi i toreri. Al contrario, aspira solo a una vita tranquilla. Quando Ferdinand dilata le narici e smuove il terreno con gli zoccoli, la gente corre per sfuggire alla sua carica, ma lui annusa le margherite di prato, sua grande passione, o si stiracchia all'ombra degli alberi. E quando passeggia per i villaggi assolati della Spagna, gli abitanti sbarrano le porte e gridano al toro, ma lui prosegue e fa amicizia con una bimba adorabile e sveglia. Molto sveglia, molto più degli adulti che strappano Ferdinand alla sua vita tra i prati e lo costringono a scalciare, sbuffare e prendere a testate i mantelli dei toreri nelle arene. Per fortuna i nuovi amici della fattoria elaborano un piano a prova di capra (non si offenda la capra Lupe) che gli permetterà di tornare a casa. Servono stazza e zampe forti come le sue, e una buona dose di teatralità.

STORYLINE:

Destined to become a fearless fighting bull, the young pacifist and flower-loving calf, Ferdinand, summons up the courage to escape from a Spanish bull-training camp, to finally find himself on little Nina's idyllic and fragrant farm. However, an unfortunate run-in with a busy golden bee will send the immense but peaceful animal back to the old Casa del Toro academy, where the famous matador, El Primero, usually selects his worthy bovine opponents for the arena. Does Ferdinand hide a fierce champion underneath a mountain of muscles, or is he a gentle giant after all?
