Rita Santangelo, scappata dal collegio per prendere parte ad una competizione canora che l'ha vista trionfare, giunge a Roma in compagnia di Paolo, il compositore che l'ha aiutata. Ma le circostanze obbligano la ragazza a riprendere contatto con lo strano ambiente familiare, genitori e tre zie confusamente conviventi nella Fortezza Colleoni, dove il signor Santangelo comanda una pseudo-accademia, i cui aderenti egli chiama guardie svizzere. Anche Paolo, per stare vicino a Rita, si fa ammettere nell'accademia con uno stratagemma. Ma l'irrequieta ragazza ed il suo amico cercano una nuova occasione di gloria tentando di partecipare ad una trasmissione televisiva dal Sestriere. Non tutto va liscio, comunque, per Rita. Il padre, infatti, la fa rinchiudere nella prigione della fortezza. La madre la libera e si unisce a lei nel viaggio verso la località montana. Il signor Santangelo va su tutte le furie e rapisce la figlia; quando però si rende conto che il suo posto sul video verrà preso dalla madre, si dà per vinto. Rita e Paolo potranno continuare a coltivare la loro passione per la musica ed il loro amore.
Rita Santangelo, escaped from the college to take part in a singing competition that saw her triumph, arrives in Rome in the company of Paolo, the composer who helped her. But the circumstances oblige the girl to regain contact with the strange family environment, parents and three confusedly cohabitant aunts in the Colleoni Fortress, where Mr. Santangelo commands a pseudo-academy, whose members he calls Swiss guards. Even Paul, to stay close to Rita, is admitted into the academy with a ruse. But the restless girl and her friend are looking for a new chance to glory trying to participate in a television program from Sestriere. Not everything goes smoothly, however, for Rita. The father, in fact, has her locked up in the fortress prison. His mother frees her and joins her on the journey to the mountain resort. Mr. Santangelo goes on a rampage and kidnaps his daughter; but when he realizes that his place on the video will be taken by his mother, he gives up. Rita and Paolo will be able to continue to cultivate their passion for music and their love.
