Doug Bennet e Steve Forrest, l'uno aitante e l'altro corpulento, sono due grandi amici; il primo lavora ancora per l'FBI, il secondo ha lasciato il Corpo poiché nauseato dalla lentezza della burocrazia che, secondo lui, lega le mani alla giustizia. Ma c'è un caso che richiede la bravura dei due agenti: un ex galeotto, Garret, esce di prigione per andare a Miami. Egli, insieme ad altri complici, aveva fatto una rapina di venti milioni di dollari. Nessuno seppe mai il nome dei complici e dove finì tutto il denaro. Bisogna seguire Garret per scoprirne di più; Doug e Steve lo fecero arrestare nove anni fa ed ora dovrebbero riaprire e concludere definitivamente il caso. Ma Steve non vuol saperne di rientrare nella polizia; Garret viene ucciso rendendo le cose ancora più difficili. Con un abile stratagemma Doug persuade Steve ad interessarsi al caso ed iniziare l'inchiesta vera e propria. Sulle tracce dell'ucciso i due amici, aiutati da due affascinanti ragazze, Irene ed Annabelle, da Charro, un indiano affezionato a Garret, e dal loro stesso capo Tanney che è alle soglie della pensione e vuol chiudere in bellezza la sua carriera, scoprono tutto l'intrigo. Garret prima di morire ha lasciato una prova inconfutabile della colpevolezza di Robert Delmann (ricco e stimato uomo d'affari di Miami) che altri non è che Ralph Duran uno dei suoi complici che ha cambiato faccia. Questi non ha esitato ad uccidere il chirurgo plastico che l'ha operato e lo stesso ex complice Garret; non esiterebbe nemmeno a togliersi di torno i due poliziotti che si rivelano veramente eccezionali nel superare le numerose insidie che il potente e losco individuo ha teso loro. Tutto si conclude bene per i due super agenti e per il loro capo che ottiene, grazie a loro, molti elogi.





Doug Bennet and Steve Forrest, one helpless and the other corpulent, are two great friends; The former still works for the FBI, the latter has left the Corps because he is nauseated by the slowness of the bureaucracy which, according to him, binds his hands to justice. Garret before he died left an irrefutable proof of the guilty of Robert Delmann (a wealthy and respected Miami businessman) who other than Ralph Duran is one of his accomplices who has changed his face.
