My synopsis:

After his father's death, a web designer working in Tokyo goes back to his hometown wondering if he made the right choice when he didn't take over the family udon restaurant. He meets a tanuki (raccoon dog) who has the power to transform into a young child.


My review:

He's very similar to Handa-kun and the story is like Barakamon with mythology. The child is so young that he can barely talk, so I didn't like it as much. But his friends are funny.


My Web design experience:

It was a painful for me. Connections matter more than grades or even skill. I didn't know anyone to help and believe in me, the firms wouldn't hire me because I had no experience, so I tried to prove my worth with freelancing. To please unreasonable demands, I worked 100h a week by sacrificing eating and sleeping, but the flaky clients didn't even pay me... I overworked myself to death (Karōshi). Losing my health was a hell worse than death. Respect your limits or no one will. Take care of your needs with plenty of nutrition and rest. Simplify your life and you simplify your problems. Nothing is ever good enough for some people, but I'm glad that you can be happy with 480p. High five for being frugal!
