Il film racconta la storia del mitico fuorilegge dell'epoca della Grande Depressione Economica Americana, John Dillinger (Johnny Depp) - il carismatico rapinatore di banche reso dai suoi raid lampo l'obiettivo principale del migliore agente dell’FBI dei tempi di J.
