Description
The story involves a group of 10 people lured to an island off the coast of Devon by a mysterious certain UN Owen, each of them harbouring a guilty secret. In the scene that I’m watching being filmed in a disused mansion on the outskirts of London, each of the invitees – having had their crimes detailed on a gramophone record – are busy declaring their innocence. It soon becomes clear, however, that they are going to be picked off one by one by an unknown assailant.


Nell'agosto del 1939 otto sconosciuti sono invitati in una tenuta arroccata a Soldier Island, un'isola al largo della costa del Devon, dai misteriosi coniugi U.N. Owen, da loro mai conosciuti personalmente. Una volta giunti nel luogo dell'incontro vengono accolti da due domestici appena assunti, Thomas e Ethel Rogers, ma i padroni di casa sono misteriosamente assenti. Mentre gli ospiti cenano e discorrono tra di loro, una voce proveniente da un grammofono incolpa ciascuno dei presenti, inclusi i due domestici, di aver commesso un omicidio.
