Un candidato presidenziale boliviano che non brilla nei sondaggi decide di avvalersi dei servigi dell'americana “Calamity” Jane Bodine, brillante stratega che cura l'immagine dei personaggi politici. La donna, la cui agenzia versa in cattive acque dopo uno scandalo che l'ha vista coinvolta, dovrà scontrarsi con la sua nemesi: l'odioso Pat Candy che lavora per l'opposizione.
